Robert A. Alcott, DO

Dr. Robert A. Alcott is a board-certified physician specializing in nonoperative orthopedics and sports medicine. With a focus on conservative injury management, Dr. Alcott provides expert care for sprains, strains, tendinopathy, arthritis, and more. He is especially skilled in performing injections and ultrasound-guided procedures, helping patients return to their active lifestyles as quickly as possible with safe and effective treatments.

Originally from southern New Jersey, where he attended the Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine (formerly UMDNJ), Dr. Alcott has been proud to call North Carolina home since 2009. He completed his Family Medicine Residency at the Southern Regional AHEC in Fayetteville, where he was Chief Resident. He then went on to complete a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Cabarrus Family Medicine in Concord.

Dr. Alcott comes to CCHC from the Charlotte area where he spent the past 13 years providing care to children, teens, and adults. On weekends he could often be found on the sidelines caring for local high school and collegiate athletes. He desires to build lasting relationships with his patients and the local community, combining advanced medical knowledge with a patient-centered approach to care.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Alcott enjoys traveling with his wife, Jackie, and their pack of dogs, often competing in the canine sport of Flyball. He is a lifelong Philadelphia sports fan and an avid outdoorsman who enjoys golfing, boating, disc golf, and playing music with local bands.
