Patrick J. Morgante
Originally from Buffalo, NY, Dr. Morgante is a board certified Family Physician practicing at our Havelock Primary and Urgent Care location. Dr. Morgante attended Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. He attended Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO graduating with a D.O. in 1997. He was awarded a Naval Health Professions Scholarship and completed his Family Medicine internship and residency at Naval Hospital Pensacola, where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Morgante served as a staff physician at Naval Hospital Cherry Point, 2nd Marine Air Wing, and Fleet Hospital 5. He deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Global War on Terrorism, establishing the medical department at Camp X-ray and the Fleet Hospital utilized by Joint Task Force 160 in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Following his Naval career Dr. Morgante was a partner at Hickory Family Practice in Hickory, NC for 15 years prior to relocating back to the Crystal Coast.
Dr. Morgante is focused on preventive medicine and feels the best patient outcomes are the result of a strong physician-patient partnership. He performs many office based procedures including minor surgical excisions, joint injections, treatment of skin cancers, and osteopathic manipulation. He also provides weight loss treatment, men’s health, pediatric care and women’s health issues. Dr. Morgante has extensive Emergency Medicine experience and continues to practice Emergency Medicine in multiple facilities throughout NC. He enjoys providing comprehensive care for the entire family; from newborns to the elderly. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is also holds the distinction of Fellow in The American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Morgante has been married for 30 years to his wife Erika, a Speech-Language Pathologist. They have 2 daughters; one a Speech-Language Pathologist in La Jolla, CA and one enrolled in graduate school for clinical counseling at ECU. He and his family are all fitness enthusiasts with many interests including coaching youth volleyball, boating, fishing, hiking, travel, listening to live music, and of course cheering on the Buffalo Bills.
