Stephanie D. Carperos, MD

Dr. Carperos is a Board Certified Internist who graduated with Honors from Williams College, and received her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine. After completing her internship and residency training at Charlotte Memorial Hospital, she practiced at The Davidson Clinic, and was also an adjunct professor at Davidson College where she taught Medical Ethics. From Davidson, she moved to Marco Island, FL where she was the Medical Director of the Marco Healthcare Center and practiced urgent care medicine. She took a short sabbatical to cruise with her family on their sailboat and came ashore in Pamlico County in 2004. She joined the staff at the Pamlico Medical Center in 2005, where she continues to practice Internal Medicine. She also serves as the Medical Director of the Pamlico County Health Department.
