May 6 - May 12 is National Nurses Week

Today kicks off National Nurses Week, a celebration of the many dedicated nurses who work tirelessly to serve their patients. National Nurses Week begins each year on May 6th and ends on May 12th, Florence Nightingale’s birthday. It is an annual opportunity to recognize the important role nurses play in our nation’s healthcare.

Nurses comprise the highest percentage of the US healthcare workforce. As they practice in clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, schools and many other settings, their service is invaluable.

Without a doubt, we have seen how integral nurses are to the health and well-being of our communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. They have continued to work selflessly on the front lines each day, providing skilled medical care to all their patients. We would like to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to all the nurses we know and have the honor of working with every day! This week, we celebrate your dedication and commitment to your patients and your profession.
