Mental health is often times pushed to the wayside, and dealt with by trying to get through it alone. In reality Mental Health should be treated on the same tier as any other health issue, as it is just as important to be mentally healthy as it is to be physically healthy. The International Stress Management Association (ISMA) has made this week (Nov. 5-9th) International Stress Awareness Week. It aims to not only bring awareness to the importance of mental health, but to also provide resources to those struggling with mental health problems. The theme for this year’s stress awareness week is “Does HI- Tech Cause HI- Stress” ? In a growing internet and technology based society it can feel like we all need to work and present the perfect version of our online selves 24/7. The ISMA is looking at both the adverse and beneficial aspects of our tech centric lives.
